Lokesh Kumar has previously directed films including My Son Is Gay and N4. He had already directed four short films before making his feature film debut with My Son Is Gay.

The film received four accolades, including Best Film at the Indian World Film Festival and Best Debut Director at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival.
