Sabrina Carpenter defeats Travis Scott to claim the top album spot on Billboard 200.

This week's Billboard 200 albums list saw Sabrina Carpenter's album "Short n' Sweet" rise to the top.

She did this after an incredibly close chart war with rapper Travis Scott, in which both artists released various limited-edition digital editions

albums in a last-ditch attempt to increase sales.

Carpenter's album peaked at No. 1 and was just 1,000 units ahead of Scott's mixtape "Days Before Rodeo," which was reissued on its tenth anniversary and sold 361,000 copies.

The chart battle winner's announcement, which took longer than normal, was keenly awaited by the public: The Billboard 200 top 10 is usually released on Sunday

Carpenter outperformed Scott in terms of streaming: according to Billboard, "Short n' Sweet" received 233 million on-demand plays, making it the fourth-largest album streaming week of 2024

Scott outperformed Carpenter, selling 331,000 copies during the second-biggest sales week of the year, compared to Carpenter's 184,000 copies.

Additionally, Carpenter placed three of her songs in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 this week: "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and "Taste" are at Nos. 2, No. 3, and No. 4, respectively.
