The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days away from their Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, and it appears like they may be without quarterback Russell Wilson.
According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Wilson was limited in practice on Thursday after complaining of calf pain, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Wilson has scheduled a doctor's visit. When asked if there were any long-term concerns about Wilson's calf, Tomlin simply said, "none," according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.
Of course, Wilson missed several weeks of training camp due to a calf injury sustained while participating in a conditioning test the day players arrived.
According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, there is "absolutely a chance" Russell Wilson may miss Week 1 due to his injury.
"He left practice (on Thursday) with a calf injury, so they're going to do tests," said Graziano.
"They tested yesterday, and they'll test again (on Friday), so we'll see... Justin Fields might be the Steelers' starting quarterback on Sunday.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Steelers are "unsure" if Wilson will be available to play in Week 1. Not exactly surprising.
