Looking for a quick and easy midweek dinner
These quick chops may be prepared in 5 minutes using store cupboard goods and cooked in 10 minutes.
– 2 tbsp honey – 1 tbsp soy sauce – 1 tsp rice vinegar – 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped then crushed
– 1 tbsp vegetable oil – 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted – 2 pork chops – a small handful of fresh parsley, to serve (optional)
In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic. In another bowl, combine the oil and butter.
Heat a griddle pan on high until scorching hot. Brush the pork chops with the oil and butter mixture, season, and heat for 4-6 minutes, turning halfway through, until thoroughly done.
Using tongs, lift the pork from the pan and place it on a dish. Brush the honey mixture over both sides and return to the pan to cook for another minute on each side.
Rest the chops for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with any pan juices. To finish, sprinkle with parsley.
