'Kanguva' vs. 'Vettaiyan' confrontation averted by Suriya  

Suriya announced during a recent event in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore that 'Kanguva' would be postponed  

He added that Rajinikanth's film 'Vettaiyan' will be released solo on October 10. The release of Suriya's 'Kanguva' has been postponed.  

To avoid a collision with 'Vettaiyan', the actor announced the same.  

At the audio presentation of his brother Karthi's 'Meiyazhagan' in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, actor Suriya disclosed that his film 'Kanguva' had been postponed.  

The film, directed by Siruthai Siva, was set to clash with Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' on October 10.  

Suriya, requesting his fans to stand by him, mentioned that Rajinikanth is a senior to him and hence the postponement.

Speaking at the event, he said, “For over two and a half years, more than 1000 people have worked hard day and night for ‘Kanguva’"

"From Siva to the entire cast and crew, they worked so hard in testing climatic conditions for two and a half years."

He continued, “On October 10, ‘Vettaiyan’ is coming. We should give way to the film out of respect."
