GOAT Movie Review: Thalapathy Vijay Is A Firecracker In Venkat Prabhu's The Greatest Of All Time Film
GOAT Movie Review: Venkat Prabhu directed Vijay's GOAT, which was released in theatres on September 5.
The film follows Gandhi (Vijay), a member of the special anti-terrorist squad (SATS) team, as he and his colleagues attempt to recover stolen uranium from a terrorist lead by Menon (Mohan).
Gandhi (Vijay) and his team members, Kalyan (Prabhu Deva), Sunil (Prashanth), and Sham (Ajay), finish the task and return victorious.
Gandhi's absence from his family makes his wife (Sneha) suspicious of his actions.
To make things better, Gandhi decides to take them on a vacation to Thailand, where a catastrophe alters their lives.
Cut to the present day, and Gandhi lives a humble existence until his history returns to haunt him.
Fans of Thalapathy Vijay who will buy tickets to honor the actor's'mass' avatar will be delighted with director Venkat Prabhu's GOAT.
However, if you're expecting for a sharper and more riveting picture featuring the renowned actor, director Venkat Prabhu falls short.
Using the cliche of an evil character dressed as a good guy, akin to his film Mankatha, Venkat Prabhu casts Vijay in two roles: the father, a raw agent, and his rogue son.
