'Completely incomprehensible': Bayern Munich anger over Harry Kane teammate Jamal Musiala.

Bayern Munich administrator Max Eberl has expressed his bewilderment over Jamal Musiala's exclusion from the 30-man Ballon d'Or shortlist.

Musiala was unexpectedly left off the 30-man shortlist when the Ballon d'Or nominations were announced on Wednesday.

Despite enjoying a terrific season with Bayern Munich and Germany in the European Championship

the attacking midfielder's efforts were insufficient to secure a place on the Ballon d'Or shortlist.

Speaking to DPA, Eberl said: "I'm thrilled for any player nominated for the Ballon d'Or, but we at FC Bayern are quite surprised that Jamal Musiala is not on this list.

Jamal was one of the outstanding players at the Euros, was voted into the best XI and was one of the tournament's top scorers.

In addition, FC Bayern reached the semi-finals of the Champions League thanks to Jamal's great performances

The fact that he's not even one of the 30 best players of the last season is completely incomprehensible to us.

In our eyes, Jamal is one of the most fascinating players in international football
